Abstract 2‐Methyl‐5,6‐diphenyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐imidazo[2,1‐b]thiazol‐3‐one 5 and 6,7‐diphenyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐4H‐imidazo[2,1‐b]1,3‐thiazin‐4‐one 6 are prepared from 4,5‐diphenyl‐2‐mercapto‐imidazole 1.
