The optimal structure of the ANN allows using the least number of resources to ensure the necessary quality of the ANN. The article considers the problem of identifying the optimal number of neurons in the hidden layers of a multilayer ANN. An optimization algorithm is proposed and considered that allows one to determine the best number of neurons in the hidden layers of a multilayer ANN.
