Design and Application of a Real-time AVS Encoding System Based on DSP

This paper introduces a real-time encoding system based on TMS320DM642 DSP. This system uses the high performance video compression standard AVS, and can realize such functions as real-time video coding, compression, display, storage and playback. This paper mainly introduces the principle of hardware structure, design of system software, and optimization of AVS video encoder.
