The fluorescence enhancement and solvent effect of Eu-dibenzoylmethane-ammonia system was studied. The fluorescence intensity of the system can be greatly increased by y3+. The maximum fluorescence intensity was obtained at pH 8.9 – 9.5. The fluorescence intensity is a linear function of Eu2+ in the range of 1.0x10−9 M -4.0x10−8 M. The detection limit is 1.1x10−10 M.
